About
Visitors can enjoy tours of this fully furnished 17th-century Castle. Built by the Earl of Mar in 1628, garrisoned by Hanoverian troops during the 1745 Jacobite uprising and then used as a family house by the Chiefs of Clan Farquharson. Now cared for by the local community bringing income to restore the Castle as well as funding other community projects.
