Carrie Paxton Glass Design

Carrie is a glass artist working and living in Orkney. She hand makes her glass designs using clear sheet glass, cutting the glass to the shape and size she wants and kiln firing each piece up to four times.
Carrie has a degree in Architectural Glass from Edinburgh College of Art and a post grad in Design. Originally, she was a graphic artist and now draws directly on to glass, making bowls, panels and lighting.
Carrie works with Frits, enamels, lustres and silverstain, always on clear glass, never coloured or fused. Traditional methods, contemporary designs. She says, “I love what I do and hope it shows in my work.”
